INFJ and ENTJ: Cognitive Function Analysis
INFJ: Ni-Fe-Ti-Se. ENTJ: Te-Ni-Se-Fi. The shared Ni is positioned differently: dominant for the INFJ, auxiliary for the ENTJ. This means both partners use convergent intuition but the INFJ lives inside it while the ENTJ uses it as a tool for Te execution. The Fe-Te split is the defining dynamic. The INFJ's auxiliary Fe processes decisions through their impact on people. The ENTJ's dominant Te processes decisions through their effectiveness and logical consistency. The INFJ has tertiary Ti (internal logic) while the ENTJ has inferior Fi (internal values). This means the INFJ can engage with the ENTJ's logical world through Ti, but the ENTJ struggles to engage with the INFJ's emotional world because Fi is their weakest function. The ENTJ's tertiary Se gives them physical presence and practical awareness that the INFJ's inferior Se lacks.
