INTJ and INFP: Cognitive Function Analysis
The INTJ stack is Ni-Te-Fi-Se. The INFP stack is Fi-Ne-Si-Te. The crucial overlap is the Te-Fi axis. The INTJ's auxiliary Te and tertiary Fi are the INFP's inferior Te and dominant Fi, respectively. This creates a specific dynamic: the INTJ operates comfortably in the INFP's aspirational zone (Te efficiency), while the INFP operates comfortably in the INTJ's growth zone (Fi emotional depth). Each type is strong where the other is developing. The Ni-Ne difference adds intellectual complementarity: the INTJ narrows toward a single strategic vision, the INFP expands toward multiple creative possibilities. The INFP's Si provides historical grounding the INTJ lacks, while the INTJ's Se (inferior) is at least more externally oriented than the INFP's inward-facing Si.
