INTJ and ENFJ: Cognitive Function Analysis
INTJ's stack is Ni-Te-Fi-Se. ENFJ's stack is Fe-Ni-Se-Ti. They share Ni, which creates an immediate sense of 'this person gets how I think.' Both process information by synthesizing patterns into future-oriented insights rather than cataloging concrete facts. The critical difference is their dominant-auxiliary pairing. INTJ's Ni serves Te — insights are converted into efficient systems, strategies, and executable plans. ENFJ's Ni serves Fe — insights are converted into understanding of people's needs, motivations, and developmental trajectories. INTJ's tertiary Fi gives them private but deeply held values they rarely articulate. ENFJ's inferior Ti means their logical analysis is present but underdeveloped, sometimes leading to decisions that feel right interpersonally but don't hold up under scrutiny. This is where INTJ's Te can genuinely help — and where ENFJ can feel criticized if the help is delivered bluntly.
