INFP and ENFJ: Cognitive Function Analysis
ENFJ leads with Fe — extraverted feeling that reads the emotional temperature of a room and actively shapes it toward harmony. Their auxiliary Ni provides strategic depth, helping them understand what people need before those people articulate it. INFP leads with Fi — introverted feeling that maintains a rich, deeply personal value system used to evaluate every experience. Their auxiliary Ne generates possibilities and creative connections. The Fe-Fi dynamic is the heart of this pair. ENFJ's Fe naturally accommodates others, sometimes losing track of their own needs in the process. INFP's Fi never loses track of their own values, but sometimes struggles to accommodate others without feeling inauthentic. ENFJ has tertiary Se (awareness of the physical environment and present-moment engagement) and inferior Ti (underdeveloped internal logic). INFP has tertiary Si (attachment to past experiences and personal memories) and inferior Te (underdeveloped external organization). ENFJ's weaker Ti means they may organize people's lives without examining whether their help is wanted. INFP's weaker Te means they may resist practical structures that would actually serve their goals.
