Type 3 and Type 9: Center Dynamics and Arrows
The Three belongs to the heart triad, driven by the need for admiration and the fear of worthlessness. They manage shame by becoming what others value. The Nine belongs to the body triad, driven by the need for peace and the fear of conflict. They manage anger by merging with others' priorities. The arrow connection: the Nine integrates to Three, meaning their growth direction is toward the Three's assertiveness and self-definition. The Three disintegrates to Nine, meaning their stress response is the Nine's passivity and disengagement. The Nine genuinely aspires to what the Three does naturally — taking initiative, pursuing goals, achieving visibility. The Three's stress state is what the Nine does naturally — going along, avoiding conflict, numbing. This asymmetry means the Three may unconsciously treat the Nine's default state as weakness, while the Nine may secretly admire the Three while resenting their own passivity.
